Go off-road!

  • Posted on: 25 May 2015

Go off-road at this year's LRO Show at the Tixover Grange! Our LRO Adventure Club crew will be attacking it with earth movers to create new challenges and obstacles, so even if you’re bringing an extreme vehicle there’ll still be plenty to keep you entertained. But if it’s your first time, or if you want to look after your Land Rover, there are more gentle routes marked too. Don’t miss out!

Ticket rules and regulations:
• Sessions cost £20 per go when booked in advance. They are £25 on the day. It is £10 extra for a second go!
• We advise you get your ticket in advance avoid disappointment.
The course running time will be 30 minutes per session.
Speed warnings will be deployed – so please take note.

Just 20 minutes from the main show site, our quarry-based off-road course provides a thrilling opportunity to drive your Land Rover as it was intended. With hard-packed sand in a lot of areas, it's an “all weather” site and most of its features are usable all year, although currently there is little water in the lake!

Don't just take our word for it! Here's what some of our visitors had to say:

Pete Holder, off-road course marshal & Defender 110 owner
'Other shows have off-road courses, but not with this vast and varied terrain. I go to a lot of pay and play events and I get a lot from them, so marshalling is a chance for me to give something back.’

Mike Potter, show visitor & Discovery 2 Td5 owner
'This was a trial run for my 2002 Discovery 2’s new suspension lift and rock sliders. Brilliant course. A bit more challenging than last year. Well organised, and nice and long.’

Ali McLean, show visitor & Defender 90 owner
'The 2015 course has been the best yet. Definitely good value for money. I think I’ll have a cuppa and go round again!’
