The off-road course for this month’s LRO Peterborough Show (Sept 17-18) is moving to the legendary Tixover Grange site in Rutland.

Due to current planning restrictions at Yarwell Quarry, which now make it impossible for us to run the Britpart-sponsored LRO Peterborough Show off-road course at its traditional home, we’ve secured a fantastic alternative: Tixover Grange, to ensure show visitors have a chance to exercise their Land Rovers as the manufacturer intended.

Although a little further from the East of England Showground than Yarwell, Tixover is a legendary site and a stalwart of the UK off-road competition scene.

As with Yarwell, the routes at Tixover will be set out by Vince and Edd Cobley of Pro-Trax, and expertly marshalled for non-damaging fun. The site is packed with steep climbs, gnarly descents, axle-twisters, tight turns and of course the obligatory water splashes, so around every corner you’ll find something new opens up. The 30-minute drives are suitable for all levels of off-road experience, from novice to expert, all vehicles old and new (LPG-equipped vehicles not recommended).

Tixover is around 12 miles from the East of England Showground, which should take less than 20 minutes to get to. The route northbound up the A1 and westbound on the A47 towards Leicester will be signposted.

There’s just no point in having a Land Rover if you can’t let it off the leash at least once in a while, so come and have a go! Off-road tickets are available to buy via
